It's easy to mistake adolescent depression for something else, child psychiatrists say; the signs can include misbehavior, eating problems or sleep trouble.
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. These are three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives.
In this 2 hour training, QPR will teach you some of the warning signs of suicide, how to ask the difficult suicide question, as well as how to persuade and refer and individual to get appropriate help.
This training will be FREE courtesy of Indiana University Health. Registration is required. Email Karla Courtney at email@example.com or call 765.742.1800.
